Christian’s first collection consisted of ninety outfits worn by six models

Christian Dior then moved with his family to Paris, France where he lived until life circumstance found him in the Soviet Union.  During this difficult period in Christian’s life, he lived with an old friend who helped him start his career starting by sketching dresses and hats.  Dior started to sell his sketches which actresses of the time loved and would pay to obtain them.  In 1941 Christian Dior moved back to Paris where worked with designer Lucien Lelong.  Dior worked with Lelong until 1946 when he moved out into his own salon.

Christian’s first collection consisted of ninety outfits worn by six models.  His next collection, Corolle, or the Ring of Petals collection, was filled with feminine clothing with soft, rounded shapes and full flowing skirts.  This launched Dior’s reputation as the Master of Fashion; he not only gave the world and new look he gave them a new outlook after years of war. Christian continued his success until he died in 1957 after a sudden, fatal heart attack.  The fashion world was stunned when the news was heard and the employees of Dior were devastated though the House of Dior continued to thrive.  The Master was gone after only a decade of designs under his own name but his influence in the world of fashion still exists today.

Dior purses come in all shapes and sizes, and there is a Dior purse for every woman.  What does not change is the quality and appeal of a Dior purse.  The Master touch of Christian Dior is still seen and felt in the Dior purses that are so popular today.
